Two women arrested in stolen Toyota Hilux, driver still on the run

Two young women, aged 19 and 20, were taken into custody after being found inside a stolen Toyota Hilux GD6 on the R101 near the Polokwane Weighbridge.

The vehicle had been reported stolen, and officers intercepted it during a routine patrol.

The male driver, known as Legudzumela, fled the scene on foot and disappeared into nearby bushes.
He remains at large.

The two women are set to appear before the Polokwane Magistrate’s Court today, Tuesday, where they will face charges of being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
