Media Statement POLOKWANE – Two suspects were apprehended shortly after they committed a burglary on a farm in Mookgophong on Tuesday 26 March 2024 at about 09:30. The suspects allegedly broke into the farmhouse and made off with items that included an air rifle, a plasma TV, and a camping solar system. Upon receiving the report, a joint operation by the local detectives in collaboration with private security was activated which led to the arrest of the suspects in town. The suspects then took the police where the stolen properties were hidden, inside a water pipe in the bushes next to the R520. The duo, aged 19 and 35, were charged with burglary and will appear before Mookgophong Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 27 March 2024. The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has applauded the joint effort that yielded remarkable successes. Ends
