Media Statement POLOKWANE – Two male suspects, aged 17 and 19, involved in business robbery, were nabbed during a joint operation that was executed by Tshilwavhusiku Detectives, Tshilwavhusiku SAPS Tracing Team, and private security at Haramantsha village, Tshilwavhusiku policing area, on Thursday 05 September 2024. It is reported that the Tshilwavhusiku Tracing Team received information regarding a business robbery incident at one of the foreign national’s tuckshops at Madombidzha village. It appears that two armed suspects after committing the offense they ran into the nearest bush. The team received information and operationalized it. The suspects were located and found hiding in the ceiling of the house belonging to one of the suspects, and were removed. Stolen goods taken from the scene of crime were also found in the celling and in addition a firearm was also found in the wardrobe. The suspects were immediately apprehended. The Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest of the suspects, and praised the team for swift response. “This success demonstrates the value of coordinated efforts and the unwavering dedication of our officers and partners in ensuring the safety of our people” Concluded the Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Hadebe. The duo will appear before Tshilwavhusiku magistrate’s court on Monday 09 September 2024 facing charges of business robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm, and possession of suspected stolen goods.
