Chaos erupted in Boksburg on Monday when a cash-in-transit robbery turned deadly, leaving two innocent bystanders fatally shot during a gun battle between security personnel and armed robbers.
The attackers ambushed the cash van, bombing the vehicle before making off with an undisclosed amount of money. In the aftermath, some members of the public were seen rushing to collect scattered cash left behind.
Residents of Dawn Park were urged to remain indoors and secure their homes as the suspects fled the scene and remain at large.
