Two alleged suspects arrested for possession of unlicensed firearm and possession of ammunition

GAUTENG – Two alleged suspects, a 27-year-old female and a male aged 38, were arrested on Friday 21 June 2024 at approximately 01:00, by members of the Eldorado Park Crime Prevention Unit and Anti-Gang Unit.

The members were patrolling along the N1 highway towards Eldorado Park when they came across a suspicious white Toyota Quantum.

The members stopped the Quantum, asked permission to first search the driver and upon searching the driver, on the left pocket of the driver’s jacket, ammunition was found.

One of the female officers searched the female passenger and found one black 9mm pistol. Both suspects were arrested.
