Hot on the heels of Meghan Markle’s feedback about an alleged fireplace scare in Cape Town, South Africans on Twitter have an necessary message for the royal – “voetsek”.

And worldwide critics of the royal are becoming a member of in, praising the individuals of Mzansi for disputing alleged “lies” spoken by Prince Harry’s spouse.

The sturdy phrases come days after Meghan Markle’s first episode of her Spotify podcast Archetypes this week. In it, the royal recanted a 2019 royal journey to SA and the way a room her child son Archie was supposed to be napping in, nearly “caught on fire”.

Meghan additionally alleges that royal aides compelled her and Harry to proceed their engagements after the “fire”. This, regardless of her household being “shaken” and “in tears”.

Adding insult to damage, Meghan additionally referred to the residence – a nine-bedroom mansion of the British High Commissioner – as a “housing unit”. Then there was the truth that she purposely talked about little Archie’s nanny was a Zimbabwean, who used a “mud cloth” (child sling) to carry him round.

But South Africans are scoffing on the former actress and the picture she is inadvertently portraying of the nation. On Twitter, the hashtag “Voetsek Meghan” trended, with many SA tweeps issuing a stern warning to the royal.
