TS Galaxy admit Pirates sting, tease Arrows ahead of Carling Cup draw
TS Galaxy are still feeling the sting of a 3-0 thrashing by Orlando Pirates, and as the Carling Knockout Cup draw looms tonight, The Rockets have made one thing crystal clear: they are nowhere near ready for another trip to the Buccaneers slaughterhouse!
With all 16 Betway Premiership heavyweights thrown into the hat for Wednesday night’s draw, Galaxy took to social media to engage in some classic PSL banter.
They admitted their bruises from Orlando Amstel Arena while casually taking a cheeky swipe at serial social media trolls, Golden Arrows.
“Today is the Carling Black Label draw,” posted Galaxy on their social media platforms.
“Uma singathola noma iqembu elincane njenge-Arrows nje kanje… ngoba ay asibuyeli lakade sikhona izolo. Wena ufisa sidlale noba? (If only we could draw a small team like Arrows… because no ways, we aren’t going back to where we were yesterday! Who do you wish we get?)”
Translation? Please, give us anyone except Pirates!
Whether the football gods answer Galaxy’s humble prayers or serve them another heavyweight nightmare remains to be seen when the balls drop tonight.
