Media Statement LIMPOPO – The South African Police Service in Limpopo ongoing efforts to combat drug-related crime continue to pay off following the recent arrest of three suspects aged between 34 and 42 within Moletlane policing area outside Zebediela in Capricorn District. On Tuesday, 30 July 2024, members of the Provincial Flying Squad conducted an intelligence-driven operation, resulting in the arrest of the suspects at Zebediela Crossing. The suspects were found in possession of a significant quantity of drugs, including crystal meth, nyaope, mandrax and dagga. The estimated street value of the seized drugs is R30 000-00. The Provincial Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest of the suspects. The General reiterated that police will continue to work tirelessly to identify and apprehend those involved in drug-related crime. The suspects appeared before Magatle Periodical Court on Wednesday 31 July.The duo, Selby Oupa Mokonyama, (34) and Albert Kekana, (41), were each granted R1500,00 bail.Their case was postponed to August 19. Meanwhile, Peter Kekana (42), was remanded in custody until August 06.
