Tributes pour in for kwaito star Thabo ‘Crazy T’ Tsotetsi

The South African music business is struggling yet one more devastating loss following the demise of kwaito star Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi. The musician, who shaped a part of kwaito group Alaska, handed away on Sunday 11 September. According to Drum, Crazy T complained about coming down with the flu and was admitted to Bheki Mlangeni Hospital in Jabulani, Soweto. 

Local music lovers have since paid tribute to the late musician with heartwarming messages on social media.

RIP CRAZY T: MZANSI LOSES A KWAITO STAR 

Alaska is certainly one of South Africa’s most revered kwaito teams. The group was made up of Andrew Moloisane, Sphiwe “Picat” Sibeko, Les Ma-ada, Lucky Mlakana and Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi. Before his passing, Crazy T was certainly one of two residing Alaska members. Now, Sphiwe Sibeko is the group’s final residing member.

Crazy T’s tragic passing was confirmed to Drum by his shut good friend Puleng Mokoena and Sibeko. Mokoena informed the publication that Crazy T had informed her that he was feeling sick. 

“I told him to go to the hospital, but he was stubborn and told me that he believes in taking herbs, but he eventually went to the hospital last week Tuesday and he was admitted,” she mentioned. 

“When I woke up on Sunday morning. I received news that Thabo passed away and now nothing makes sense because he was such an optimistic person who was always bubbly did everything with all his heart.”

LOCAL TWEEPS PAY TRIBUTE TO CRAZY T 

Taking to Twitter, Mzansi has paid tribute to Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi with heartwarming messages. The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) additionally paid tribute to the kwaito star. 

“The EFF sends its heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the kwaito star Thato “Crazy Thibos” Tsotetsi who was a member of Alaska. The expertise he shared with South Africa will without end be cherished,” wrote the political occasion.

“As Kwaito Nation we are deeply devastated and sad about the passing of our Alaska group member Thabo Tsotetsi. Thabo died this morning,” wrote one tweep. 

“Thabo was a standing member of SAMPRA & we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Tsotetsi family during these difficult times.”

Thabo Tsotetsi, famously referred to as Crazy Thibos, a member of in style 90s Kwaito music group, Alaska, has premature handed away.

  • Thabo “Crazy T” Tsotetsi was a member of Alaska, a kwaito group based by DJ Oskido.
  • The group is finest identified for their albums, Cool As Hell and Hurry Up.
  • Crazy T lived in Diepkloof, Soweto. 
  • The musician ran his uncle’s nightclub H&H in Soweto.
  • He was greater than only a musician and was additionally a gifted hairstylist.
  • At the time of his demise, he was engaged on his solo album.
