Police in Atlantis, near Cape Town, are digging into a heartbreaking shooting that happened at a high school on Palmer Avenue in Avondale. It all went down just before 3pm on Wednesday when an unknown guy walked up to a taxi that was parked there, waiting to pick up students.
He started shooting, hitting the driver, another guy in the taxi, and sadly, two kids too. The driver and the other man didn’t make it, and now cops are treating this as two murders and two attempted murders.
One of the kids, a 14-year-old girl, got shot in the back and was rushed to the hospital. The other, a 16-year-old, was just grazed by a bullet but still needed medical help.
Word is, this might be tied to some beef over taxi routes in the area.
