A residential property in Boerneef Street, Langenhovenpark in Bloemfontein,suffered extensive damage after catching fire yesterday evening while the occupants were away. The blaze was quickly brought under control thanks to the swift response of emergency services.
Mangaung Fire & Rescue, Fidelity Secure Fire, and Fire Ops SA, along with other services, attended the scene and worked to contain the fire. Their prompt action helped minimize further damage to the property and surrounding areas.
One bystander was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene and was transported to hospital for further care by ambulance. The cause of the fire is not yet known, and an investigation is likely to follow.
