Over 160 cases of Pink Eye confirmed in KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal Health MEC Nomagugu Simelane urges the public to avoid Pink Eye infections by practicing good personal hygiene.
The call comes as at least 161 cases of Pink Eye have been confirmed in various parts of eThekwini District since 26 February.
The KZN Health Department said pink eye cases were recorded at Clairwood Hospital (55), KZN Children’s Hospital (50), Cato Manor Community Health Centre (39), McCord Hospital (15), and Halley Stott Clinic (2).

Six-year-old Joslinh Smit from Saldanha Bay in the Western Cape was last seen on 19 February.

AKA murder suspects yet to be deported from Eswatini
The two suspects arrested in Mbabane for the alleged involvement in the murder of Kiernan ‘AKA’ Forbes and his friend Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane are yet to be deported from Eswatini.
The two were arrested in late February for other cases in Eswatini. They were also in the country illegally.
