Petrol prices to shoot up on Wednesday – [DETAILS]
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy has announced a hike in both petrol and diesel prices from Wednesday, 1 March 2023.
The Department of Mineral Resources and Energy reported that the price of both 93 and 95 petrol would be hiked by R1.27 a litre, while diesel will go up by between 30 and 31 cents.
Illuminating paraffin will increase by 13 cents a litre, while the maximum retail price for LP gas will be hiked by R5.22 a kilogram.

The taxpayer forks out R967 million to house ANC ministers
The South African Taxpayer contributes R967 million for the mansions of ANC ministers and deputy ministers in Cape Town and Pretoria.
You, the Taxpayer, don’t just pay for the ANC minister’s mansions; you also contribute R5 000 per month towards their water and electricity. And you contributed R2.6 million on generators for their mansions for load shedding.

JUST IN: Criminal charges opened against De Ruyter, Gordhan and Ramaphosa
Build One SA leader Mmusi Maimane had opened a criminal case legally compelling Andre De Ruyter and Pravin Gordhan to divulge any and all on Eskom looting.
He formally opened a criminal case with the South African Police Service (SAPS) on Monday to ensure the immoral and corrupt politicians siphoning money out of Eskom for themselves are investigated, prosecuted and, when found guilty, sentenced to prison.

Pravin Gordhan confirms Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter did speak to him about corruption
Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan confirmed on Monday that former Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter spoke to him about alleged corruption practices by a senior government official at the ailing power utility, but he never offered any evidence.
He was speaking to Newzroom Afrika on Monday following De Ruyter’s explosive interview last week.
Gordhan said he had discussions with De Ruyter regarding corruption and the involvement of various people, but no names were mentioned.
