PARKWEG – Swift police action leads to arrest of three after a jewellery store robbery at a Mall in the Southern side of Bloemfontein. On 20 March 2025, at approximately 10:33, it is alleged that two unknown African males entered the store. One of the suspects, armed with a 9mm firearm, approached the cashier at the counter and demanded that he open the display cases containing jewellery. The suspect then instructed the cashier to call the Manager from the back office to provide the keys. While the armed suspect controlled the employees, the second suspect proceeded to fill a black bag with jewellery. After collecting the stolen items, the suspects exited the store through entrance three of the Mall. A third individual was observed standing outside the entrance. The suspects then fled the scene in a white Toyota Corolla with registration number LB67CG GP. Provincial serious and violent crime, murder and robbery unit members have launched a manhunt and are investigating a case of business robbery. The multi-disciplinary team’s investigation led them to a house in Rocklands where the white Toyota vehicle was found. Three males aged 35, 35 and 37-year-olds were arrested. The vehicle used by the suspects as a getaway during the robbery was also recovered and was reported stolen at Kagisanong Police Station earlier this week. Investigation continues. The three will appear in the Bloemfontein Magistrate court soon for business robbery.
