NELSPRUIT – Three suspects aged between 19 and 34 are expected to appear in court after being arrested for contravention of the Immigration Act of South Africa. The suspects were apprehended by members of Operation Vala Umgodi in the Sabie downtown area on 31 March 2025. A report indicates that proactive and combat members conducted a disruptive operation. It was during this time when the team nabbed the three undocumented persons along the downtown street in Sabie. The investigators are working collaboratively with officials from the department of Home Affairs to ascertain the status of the arrested suspects. The suspects were charged accordingly and are expected to appear at the Sabie Magistrate’s Court soon. The Acting Provincial Commissioner of the SAPS in Mpumalanga, Major General (Dr.) Zeph Mkhwanazi is grateful for the notable and great work done by the team Vala Umgodi. Ends
