Media Statement CAPE TOWN – The prompt reaction by members attached to the Maitland Flying Squad resulted in the successful apprehension of three suspects who happened to find themselves at the wrong side of the law. During the early hours of this morning, Wednesday, 26 March 2025, members swiftly responded to a complaint of a vehicle robbery in progress in Brackenfell. The members managed to pull over the stolen vehicle as well as the getaway car the suspects were driving. The members searched the vehicles and in the process found jamming devices inside. Three suspects, aged between 37 and 52, were arrested and detained at Brackenfell SAPS on charges of possession of a stolen motor vehicle. The three suspects will appear in the Kuils River Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged. Ends
