Media Statement FREE STATE – The Maseru Port of Entry police arrested three suspects at Clocolan in possession of unlicensed firearm, ammunitions and suspected stolen property following information received from the community. It’s alleged that on 31 December 2024 at about 03:00, Maseru Port of Entry police received an information from the community with regard to suspect residing at Clocolan Extension Six suspected to be in possession of unlicensed firearm. The information was operationalized and led police to an identified house where the three suspects were found inside the house. The house was searched, and a 9mm firearm pistol without serial number, magazine, and three ammunitions were found, including 25 cellphones and six bank cards. All items were seized as exhibits.
The three suspects from Clocolan aged 20, 21, and 31 were arrested and charged. They are expected to appear before the Clocolan Magistrate court on Thursday, 2 January 2025, facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunitions and suspected stolen property.
