Media Statement HEILBRON – The Fezile Dabi District Tactical Response Team has apprehended three males, aged between 29 and 43, for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, as well as conspiracy to commit a crime. On Saturday, 12 April 2025, at approximately 15:00, members of the Tactical Response Team received information about a white VW Polo driving on the R57 towards Heilbron with occupants in possession of unlawful firearms and ammunition. Acting on the information, the vehicle was spotted and intercepted. Two suspects, both Lesotho nationals, were arrested. Two pistols, ten live ammunition, three cellphones, and a white Volkswagen Polo were confiscated. The trio is expected to appear before the Heilbron Magistrate’s Court on charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and conspiracy to commit a crime. Ends
