Media Statement ZASTRON – Three suspects including two foreign nationals were arrested with an unlicensed firearm, ammunition and possession of suspected stolen goods. On 17 December 2024, police received information about someone allegedly in possession of a firearm and ammunition. It was also alleged that the suspect is involved in robbery incidents committed in Zastron. The information was operationalised and three males, ages 20 and 27, were arrested after they were found at their different places of residences in Zastron. While searching at their premises, members found suspected stolen and robbed items such as TV screens, music systems and cellphones possibly robbed from community members. While searching at one of the shacks, a firearm with ammunition was found. The three suspects will appear in the Zastron Magistrate’s Court on Thursday 19 December 2024, facing charges of possession of unlicensed firearm, ammunition and possession of suspected stolen goods. Other charges may be added as investigations continue. We also wish to extend an invite to the community members who were robbed or experienced house breakings to visit Zastron police as they might possibly find their properties.
