Media Statement POLOKWANE – The Police in Thohoyandou have arrested a 26-year-old suspect following a house robbery incident that occurred in the early hours of Monday, 17 June 2024 at Ngovhela. His arrest follows an incident in which the complainant was sleeping at his residence when a male, known to him, came into his house and broke the door open with an axe. He entered and attacked the victim. He then robbed him of a cellphone and an undisclosed amount of money and thereafter fled the scene. The victim was rescued by his neighbour. The incident was reported to the Police, and a case of house robbery was opened by Thohoyandou SAPS. Following thorough investigations, the suspect was arrested for house robbery, and more charges might be added. The Provincial Commissioner of Police in Limpopo Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe has welcomed the arrest and commended the arresting team for their quick response and determination. The suspect will appear before Thohoyandou Magistrate’s Court soon. The Police investigations are continuing. Ends Enquiries:
