In a heartfelt personal statement released through his attorney, Gregory S. Lisi, Pastor McClurkin firmly and categorically denies the claims, describing them as “contrived and untrue.” He emphasizes his lifelong commitment to living with integrity, transparency, and deep devotion to Christ values he says have guided his ministry and personal walk with God.
He acknowledges the gravity of accusations involving sexual violence, stressing that such issues are painfully real for many survivors who deserve to be heard, protected, and supported. At the same time, he insists that truth must prevail and that these particular allegations do not reflect reality. McClurkin notes that he has not yet been formally served with the official complaint but is fully cooperating with legal processes and plans to defend himself vigorously.
He expresses confidence that once all the facts emerge through a fair and careful examination, he will be fully vindicated. In a spirit of grace, he asks for prayers not only for himself and his supporters but also sincerely for the accuser.
The statement closes on a note of hope, with McClurkin signing off: “It’s gonna get BETTER AFTERWHILE!” a reminder of his faith in God’s timing and ultimate justice.
This comes amid reports of a lawsuit filed by a former personal assistant, Giuseppe Corletto, alleging years-long abuse tied to the pastor’s role and influence.
