THE NPA WANTS THE COURT TO DENY NCC LEADER FADIEL ADAMS BAIL, STATES REASONS

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) states that National Coloured Congress (NCC) leader Fadiel Adams should be denied bail because he gave the police a difficult time before they could locate him.

According to the NPA, Adams repeatedly changed his address and switched off his phones to the extent that even his own lawyers reportedly could not reach him.

Adams is accused of making numerous videos disrespecting the police and the justice system as a whole. In these videos, he allegedly used vulgar language, insulted the police in front of the media on national television, and made multiple allegations without providing evidence.

The state noted that Adams went as far as saying, “F##k the court.”

In the videos, he also allegedly revealed that he was indeed a fugitive evading the police.

Furthermore, the prosecution argues that Adams tends to interfere with police investigations, meaning that if he is released, he will likely interfere with witnesses. In fact, he was arrested for that exact reason: interfering with an active police investigation.

Consequently, the NPA wants him to remain in custody until the case is concluded.
