The annual Amenisto Christmas Jam will not be happening this year.
Founder and businessman Dj Amenisto whose real name is Nqobani Gumede announced on Monday that event that is held at the Esikhaleni Sports Ground in Esikhaleni township in the North of KwaZulu Natal (KZN) will not take place due to the bad condition of the stadium.
Amenisto announced that the event will not be happening due to the poor state of the sports fields around Esikhaleni.
“Hey Amenisto Christmas Jam family. Unfortunately after much consideration, safety and assessments. We are forced to skip this year’s annual Christmas Jam 2025. Due to some unexpected challenges. Since the event is about promoting the drug free youth event through music and giving back to the less fortunate in Esikhaleni township, relocating it defeats the events main objective.
“The event thrives outdoors so one of the challenges we encountered was the poor state of sports fields around the township so we wouldn’t blindly risk that. However, rest assured that exciting plans are a ready in the works for a spectacular comeback next year. Keep your eyes peeled for more information coming your way.
