<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The mark of the fallen cadres was also used to mark the 70 years of the Freedom Charter, delivered by the Deputy Minister of Police and ANC NEC member Cassel Mathale.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Amongst the attendees were the Peter Mokaba Regional leadership, some PEC members, ANC Women&#8217;s League, ANCYL, COSAS, and various stakeholders.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-78332" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010.jpg" alt="" width="1080" height="720" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010.jpg 1080w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010-150x100.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0010-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">The fallen comrades bus, while en route to Mbombela Stadium in 2024, crashed on the R71 road ( Makgoebaskloof near Tzaneen). The ruling party was holding a 112th anniversary in Mpumalanga province.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">The commemorative visits and paid to the families of the fallen:</p>

<li style="text-align: center;"><strong>Machaba family</strong></li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">It won&#8217;t be an ANC gathering without campaigns. Before, the key note address ascended to the pondium. A message of support by the ANCYL NEC member Douglas Ngobeni came with an endorsement and influence to the branches of the ANC</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-78324" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004.jpg" alt="" width="1080" height="720" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004.jpg 1080w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004-150x100.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0004-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;We are going to be an ANCYL, which rises to the occasion when unemployment rises and which does not go around begging. We are to be an ANCYL that says young people want this, and young people get this. We want to lobby branches to go and convince members that John Mpe must become the ANC provincial Chairperson next year,&#8221; said Ngobeni</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-78326" src="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006.jpg" alt="" width="1080" height="720" srcset="https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006.jpg 1080w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006-300x200.jpg 300w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006-1024x683.jpg 1024w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006-768x512.jpg 768w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006-150x100.jpg 150w, https://mdntvlive.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/IMG-20251224-WA0006-450x300.jpg 450w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px" /></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"> The crowd seemed to agree with the endorsement by a show of hands and laughter, while the key speaker prepared his speech.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Mathale led the recognition ceremony and, by declaring that they are officially regarded as &#8221; fallen cadres,&#8221; who died in the line of duty while serving the movement.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;The ANC bond with the families of the fallen 5 is permanent,&#8221; said Cassel Mathale</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">He stated that the movement will continue to reconnect with and support them.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">&#8220;Their undying spirits will continue to guide the ANC,&#8221; said Mathale</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Mathale emphasized that the ceremony served a dual purpose marking the 70th Anniversary of the Freedom Charter ( 1955_2025).</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">He linked the sacrifice of Molemole 5 to the struggle for the Charter&#8217;s ideals, specifically celebrating its key clauses.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Since the incident, the Peter Mokaba region has maintained a permanent relationship with grieving families by providing food vouchers and gifts to ensure dignified holiday periods for the survivors.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Current leadership are:</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<ul>
<li style="text-align: center;"> <strong>Collen Malatji _ President ( 32)</strong></li>

<li style="text-align: center;"><strong>Jacob Tau_ Treasury (35)</strong></li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Unopposed President Collen Malatji addressed all nine provincial members by highlighting the 1944 speech of the former league President Anton Lembede.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Lembede was the foundational president of the ANCYL and a brilliant intellectual and attorney.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">He championed African nationalism, driving the ANCYL to adopt a more militant, self-reliant ideology that influenced future leaders like former President Nelson Mandela.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">He reminded delegates that every generation is tasked with discovering and fulfilling its revolutionary mission or betraying it.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">

<p style="text-align: center;">Zohran Kwame Mamdani, 34, has made history as the first Muslim and first South Asian mayor of New York City. His story resonates globally and holds special significance for South Africans, reflecting a journey of migration, identity, and purpose.</p>

<p style="text-align: center;">Born in Kampala Uganda, and spending part of his early childhood in South Africa ,Mamdani brings a unique perspective shaped by diverse communities. Before entering politics, he worked as a housing counselor and community organizer, advocating for affordable housing, better public services, and opportunities for marginalized youth.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">Mamdani’s platform focused on affordable transport, rent stabilization, city-owned grocery stores, and youth programs. His election underscores the power of young leadership and shows that age is no barrier to influencing large, complex cities.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;">
<p style="text-align: center;">For South African audiences, his journey is a reflection on the value of nurturing young leaders and investing in community-driven solutions. Mamdani’s rise is a reminder that leadership is defined by service, vision, and tangible action, and that youth can shape the future both locally and globally.</p>
