]]> The MTV Video Music Awards return this Sunday, and anticipation is running high. Taylor Swift and Beyoncé are tied with 30 career wins each, and a single victory could make one of them the most decorated artist in VMA history.

Lady Gaga leads this year’s nominations with 12, ending Swift’s two-year reign at the top, but all eyes remain on the “Tortured Poets Department” singer and the “Cowboy Carter” powerhouse. Both are up for Artist of the Year, and whoever takes it home will claim the record.

Whether Swift or Beyoncé will appear remains a mystery. If Swift attends, she could use the spotlight to tease her upcoming album The Life of a Showgirl—out October 3—or share a moment about her recent engagement to Travis Kelce.

The show also promises heartfelt moments, including a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, with Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, YUNGBLUD, and Nuno Bettencourt performing a medley of his iconic hits.

Mariah Carey will receive this year’s Video Vanguard Award, joining past honorees like Madonna, Shakira, Katy Perry, and Beyoncé.
