Sampear issued a public apology, stating, “On April 17, I was involved in a traffic incident that led to a confrontation between myself and another driver. After taking time to reflect on these events, I want to take full responsibility for my actions. While I did not assault the other driver, I acknowledge that I should have remained more composed and found a way to de-escalate the situation. I fell short of the standards I hold myself to.”
