]]>State Advocate Adv Mkhuliseli Ntaba had not arrived by 10 a.m., despite proceedings scheduled for 9 a.m., prompting defense counsel, including Shaun Abrahams, to label the delay unprofessional and announce plans to complain to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA).
Sibanyoni, along with Mvimbi Daniel Masilela, Philemon Msiza, and Oupa “Bafana” Sindane, faces charges of extortion and money laundering for allegedly demanding over R2 million in “protection fees” from a businessman between 2022 and 2025.
The state opposes bail due to the seriousness of the allegations.
