]]>The withdrawal, confirmed by the party’s provincial leadership, comes amid rising tensions over immigration enforcement and informal trading in the province, issues that have increasingly shaped local political discourse.
ActionSA’s decision was made after what party structures described as concerning conduct observed at Jack Botes Hall in Polokwane, where preparations linked to the march were underway.
Provincial spokesperson Tshepo Magoma said the leadership had taken a firm position after careful internal consideration.
“As a party, we will organise our own demonstration towards undocumented foreigners and the issue of spaza shops,” Magoma said, signalling that ActionSA intends to pursue its own mobilisation on the matter.
The party has indicated that its separate demonstration will take place before 30 June 2026.
Despite ActionSA’s withdrawal, the E-Chaile Movement proceeded with the march as planned. The civic organisation later handed over a memorandum of demands to the Office of the Premier in Limpopo.
The E-Chaile Movement describes itself as a civic group advocating for stricter immigration enforcement, tighter border control, protection of local jobs and stronger regulation of informal trading.

The Office of the Premier has yet to publicly respond in detail to the memorandum.
The episode underscores a widening rift between civic movements and political parties aligning themselves with increasingly sensitive debates around migration, informal economies and service delivery pressures in Limpopo.
