CAPE TOWN โ€“ The Ad Hoc Committee established to investigate allegations made by Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi is meeting today as respected violence monitor Professor Mary De Haas presents her evidence.

The session is taking place in the NCOP Chamber, Ground Floor, from 11:00.

De Haas is expected to provide detailed submissions on policing oversight, allegations of misconduct, and claims raised by Mkhwanazi regarding interference, intimidation and internal power struggles within SAPS leadership structures.

Her testimony is viewed as a critical moment in the committeeโ€™s inquiry, which aims to establish the credibility of the allegations and assess whether institutional or political pressure influenced policing decisions.
