The Azania Movement today conducted a community care visit and donation drive at Steppingstone Hospice in Alberton, a specialised care facility for children with life-limiting disabilities.

During the visit, Azania donated essential items including toilet paper, cleaning detergents, and cereal. The movement further announced that it has adopted Steppingstone Hospice as part of its community programmes, committing to a monthly donation of toilet paper for 1 year.

Azania Movement leaders will conduct home visits to patients receiving hospice care in their homes, extending support to families beyond the facility.

In addition, psychologists who are part of the Azania Movement will provide counselling and psychosocial support to parents and caregivers.

Speaking during the visit, President Nolubabalo Mcinga said:

“Dignity is not measured by how long one lives, but by how deeply one is cared for. A humane society is judged by how it treats its most vulnerable, and as Azania, we are committed to turning compassion into action.”

The visit reaffirmed Azania’s commitment to the inclusion, dignity, and rights of persons with disabilities, including their right to full participation in society.

From Compassion to Action. From Emancipation to Solutions.
