]]> The Northern Cape High Court has found a South African National Defence Force (SANDF) soldier, Desmond Zwakala guilty of shooting and killing Kimberley Boys High learner, Amogelang Assegai. His co-accused who was allegedly the driver of the vehicle that sped off after Assegai was shot was found not guilty. Assegai was killed in October 2022 after Zwakala accused him of stealing his son’s cellphone.

The date for his sentencing is yet to be determined.
