Police reported that the crash occurred around 11:20 p.m. near the Bayland intersection, involving a grey Hyundai and a silver Suzuki. The drivers, aged 62 and 52, were both declared dead at the scene. Their identities will be made public after formal identification and notification of their families. An investigation into the crash is underway.

In a separate incident on the same road, a pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle near the old Vista campus intersection. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

This marks the fourth accident at the same intersection within a month, following a recent fatal incident where another pedestrian was hit and killed. Concerns continue to grow over the safety of this stretch of road.
