]]>The heartwarming scene unfolded at Orlando Amstel Arena, where the young fan arrived early carrying a handwritten placard that quickly caught attention both in the stadium and online.
“Mofokeng, can you please come sign my dress after the game,” the sign read.
Images of the girl holding her message soon went viral on social media, with many hoping the rising star would see it.
And he did not disappoint.
Following his Man of the Match performance, Mofokeng made his way to meet the supporter, signing her dress just as she had asked.
But he went a step further — gifting her a signed Orlando Pirates jersey and taking pictures with her to mark the special moment.
The gesture sparked widespread praise online, with fans applauding the 21-year-old’s humility and connection with supporters.
At a time when Mofokeng’s star continues to rise on the pitch, it’s moments like these that are winning him even more admiration off it.
He is proving that he is not only one of the country’s brightest talents, but also one of its most grounded stars.

]]>The 20-year-old playmaker was in sensational form, scoring twice as Pirates hammered Golden Arrows 5-0 to keep their title hopes alive.
Mofokeng’s performance saw him walk away with yet another Man of the Match award.
He took his tally to five goals in two games and boosting his season numbers to seven goals and five assists in 19 league appearances.
Despite also being effective out wide, the youngster says playing centrally suits his style far better.
“I think with the style we play here at Pirates, a number 10 role is more suitable for me..
“I’m not really someone who likes running. I prefer playing in the tight spaces.
“So, I think the number 10 position is fine for me,” he said speaking after the game at Orlando Amstel Arena.
His comments come as the debate over his best position continues, especially at national team level with Bafana Bafana.
For now, Mofokeng is letting his performances do the talking — and making a strong case for the playmaker role.

While speaking on a sports broadcast over the weekend, Hunt questioned whether Lucas Ribeiro truly deserves the Player of the Season title, expressing doubts about the Brazilian’s work ethic and how he might struggle in a less dominant team.

“Ribeiro scores goals, but if you put him in a smaller team like Magesi, he’ll struggle. He would have to work harder there,” Gavin Hunt commented.
Hunt went on to say that Teboho Mokoena is currently the best footballer in South Africa.
When it comes to Orlando Pirates, Hunt named a midfielder he referred to as “the boy in the middle” as the standout talent, identifying him as Makhehleni Makhaula. “He’s the best at Pirates. He’s the glue that holds the team together,” he said.
Meanwhile, with Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro set to leave at the end of the season, talks are heating up about who might take over. Former club legends have thrown their support behind Pitso Mosimane, citing his experience and track record of success. Mosimane, who is currently a free agent, is considered one of the most successful coaches in African football history with multiple league and continental titles.
Another name linked to the job is Rulani Mokwena, the current coach of Wydad Casablanca, who is expected to part ways with the Moroccan side soon. His potential return to the Premier Soccer League could stir things up as Orlando Pirates seek a new direction.
