The first person to benefit from Nyaluza’s pledge is Sandiswa, a single mother of three and a GBV survivor from Snake Park in Soweto. Using proceeds from the bag sales, Nyaluza purchased a potato cutting machine and a double gas deep fryer to help her start her kota business. In a gesture of gratitude and solidarity, Sandiswa also volunteered to model the new collection.

For Nyaluza, giving back — even during one of the lowest points of his career — is his way of keeping the spirit of Ubuntu alive.
