ActionSA rejects the appointment of their Ekurhuleni Mayoral candidate and Moja Love’s Sizok’,thola presenter Xolani Kuumalo as the new MMC for Community Services And By-Law Enforcement In Ekurhuleni municipality.

Khumalo was announced to take over the new position after a reshuffling that was made by Mayor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza on Tuesday night.

In a statement issued by the party’s leader Herman Mashaba, he said ActionSA categorically distances itself from a false media statement currently circulating, which purports changes to the Mayoral Executive in Ekurhuleni.

“This statement is entirely fabricated and does not reflect any engagement or agreement involving ActionSA. Following repeated and unsuccessful attempts by Mayor Xhakaza to solicit ActionSA’s participation in his administration, I have consistently made it clear that we will not join his failing government and have rejected every personal and formal approach made to us.

“Our position has been very clear on every occasion that we will not lend credibility to an administration that has overseen the lawless and deterioration of service delivery that continues to cripple the city,” he said.

Mashaba said the people of Ekurhuleni are tired of dysfunction, lawlessness and the collapse of basic municipal services.

“ActionSA’s focus remains on restoring governance, cleaning out corruption, restoring the rule of law and fixing the fundamentals of service delivery. These are priorities we intend to implement when we secure a clear mandate from residents in the upcoming local government elections.

CAPE TOWN – Democratic Alliance (DA) chief, John Steenhuisen, mentioned that the African National Congress (ANC) parliamentary caucus had protected President Cyril Ramaphosa the identical method it used to do with Jacob Zuma.

Opposition parties in Parliament failed to undertake the Section 89 panel report, with ANC utilizing its majority to efficiently vote towards the movement.

Ramaphosa has since filed a court docket utility to problem the findings and suggestions of the report.

Steenhuisen mentioned that the vote made a mockery of Ramaphosa’s intention to renew the ANC.

“This is the same old ANC that rallied around and protected Jacob Zuma from accountability, just as they rallied around the president today. There was no harm in the report going forward. The president would have been given ample opportunity to state his case, to point to the deficiencies of the report, instead the ANC have simply shut this down to prevent any further progress on it.”

FFP chief, Pieter Groenewald, mentioned that the results of the parliamentfor debate got here as no suprise.

“They have used their majority to vote against this report and I will not be surprised if the president now withdraws his case from the Constitutional Court, I thinkthat was part of their strategy because they didn’t come on an urgent basis, they waited fro what’s going to happen here, so that is the way it went.”

African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP), chief, Reverend Kenneth Meshoe, mentioned that Ramaphosa would have to come clear over the problem.

“We are not sure whether they go cold feet when they saw those around them but we tried. It was worth tryiimpeachmente matter is going to be settled in the courts and I think the president will have to tell the truth about where that money comes from and why he did not register it with Sars.”

ActionSA president, Herman Mashaba, mentioned that Parliament had failed the nation.

“The Section 89 impeacment process was established precisely to give a president an opportunity to respond to serious allegations against them in a public and transparent forum. This is central to holding our highest public office bearers to account for their actions.”

Meanwhile, Anglican Archbishop Thabo Makgoba mentioned that Tuesday’s vote in Parliament nonetheless left the nation and the governing occasion with deep ethical and moral challenges.

He mentioned that President Rampahosa’s credibility had suffered a blow.

“While we have to subject ourselves to the democratic processes and accept Parliament’s vote, the saga is not yet over. We still have to hear from the National Prosecuting Authority, from the South African Revenue Services and the reserve bank.”

Makconducive that ramaphosa and the federal government also needs to deal with different urgent points going through the nation.

“He will have to re-earn the trust of South Africans. Going forward, I hope politicians will devote as much energy and passion as they have to Phala Phala to creating conditions condusive to creating jobs, ending inequality and boosting our energy supply.”
