According to regional defence sources, Iran fired hundreds of missiles toward Israel. Israeli authorities said a significant number of the incoming projectiles were intercepted by the country’s Iron Dome defence system. However, at least one missile reportedly penetrated air defences, causing severe structural damage to a residential building.

Iran’s actions come during a period of intense regional instability. Claims circulating on social media allege that Iran also targeted several neighbouring countries, including Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Oman, Cyprus, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. However, there has been no independent confirmation from those governments verifying direct large scale strikes on their territories.

There have also been widespread but unverified reports regarding the status of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. At this stage, there is no official confirmation from credible international agencies confirming his death. Authorities in Tehran have not released clear, independently verified information confirming such claims.

Security analysts warn that misinformation can spread rapidly during periods of armed conflict. Governments across the region remain on high alert as diplomatic channels work to prevent further escalation.

Israel has stated that it will continue to defend its territory against missile attacks, while international leaders are urging restraint to avoid a broader regional war.
