The incident happened in March 2023 in the quiet village of Sekonye, Botlokwa. The man, who was in a relationship with the victim’s mother, took advantage of a moment when the child was alone. He told her to clean an outside toilet while her mother was indoors. Moments later, he followed her, shut the door, and committed the vile act. Afterwards, he handed her a mere R4, hoping it would be enough to keep her silent.

But the brave young girl refused to be silenced.

The next day, while the man was away at work, she opened up to her mother about the horrific ordeal. Authorities were immediately alerted, and the man was arrested.

During the trial, he pleaded not guilty, but evidence presented in court proved otherwise. Witnesses confirmed the relationship between the man and the child’s mother, as well as the details of the incident.

The court did not hold back. Emphasizing that he was supposed to protect the child — not harm her — the judge sentenced him to life in prison. No mercy.
