The Big Top Arena at Carnival City transformed into a sanctuary of sound, spirit and celebration as gospel sensation Everton Mlalazi’s Celestial Chorus Tour delivered an unforgettable experience that drew audiences in their thousands.
In a rare and powerful convergence of faith and musical excellence, the free entry event, made possible by the Bridging Gaps Foundation and Northgate Estates, reached full capacity, affirming its place as one of the most impactful gospel gatherings on the South African cultural calendar.
From the moment doors opened, a palpable sense of anticipation filled the venue as families, music lovers and worshippers gathered to witness a production that seamlessly blended reverence with world class artistry. At the heart of the evening stood Everton Mlalazi, whose commanding presence and deeply emotive performance anchored a night defined by unity, inspiration and musical brilliance.
Elevating the experience was a breathtaking 100 piece symphonic band, whose grandeur and precision added a cinematic scale to the evening. Their sweeping arrangements carried each performance with depth and resonance, creating moments that were both intimate and monumental.
Against this rich sonic backdrop, a powerhouse lineup of gospel heavyweights including Petronella Semwayo, Natasha Mlalazi, Janet Manyowa, In Accord, Precious Marimbire, Sindi Ntombela, Tawanda Midzi, Fisani Masinga, Sharon Cherayi, Mmatema, Mthunzi Namba, Peniel Tambama, Rudo Madindi, Mpumi Mtsweni, Dumi Mkokstad and Canaan Nyathi delivered performances that moved the audience to both celebration and reflection.
The evening was expertly guided by celebrated host Milicent Mashile, whose warmth and presence brought an added sense of connection to the programme, effortlessly weaving together each moment of the experience.
A key highlight of the tour’s success was the collaboration with DJ Tira and Afrotainment, whose involvement brought a fresh cultural energy to the production. Known for shaping the soundscape of South African music, Afrotainment’s partnership with Everton Mlalazi signalled a meaningful bridge between gospel and mainstream entertainment, expanding the reach of the genre while honouring its spiritual roots.
In an industry where large scale productions often come at a premium, the decision to make the event free to the public proved both powerful and purposeful. Made possible through the support of the Bridging Gaps Foundation and Northgate Estates, the open access format ensured that the message of hope, faith and unity resonated across communities, welcoming a truly diverse audience into the space.
As the final notes echoed through the arena and the crowd lingered in collective reflection, one thing became clear: the Celestial Chorus Tour was more than a concert. It was a moment. A shared experience that reaffirmed the enduring power of gospel music to bring people together, uplift spirits and create lasting cultural impact.
With its resounding success in Johannesburg, the tour sets a new benchmark for live gospel experiences on the continent, leaving audiences inspired and already anticipating what comes next.

In 2026, The American Prayer Party will host regional prayer rallies in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arkansas, calling individuals, families, churches, and community leaders to gather—not for political alignment—but for Kingdom alignment.
A Movement Born Out of Prayer And Purpose
The American Prayer Party was birthed through the vision and spiritual leadership of Tommy and Brenda Todd, founders of Gapstanders International Ministries. First launched on May 3, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the movement brought together believers from across the region with one unified purpose: to stand in the gap for America through humble, united intercession.
From its inception, TAPP has been clear in its mission—this is not a campaign, rally, or political initiative. It is a sacred call of prayer, repentance, humility, unity and obedience to God’s Word.
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
This scripture will continue to guide every gathering, prayer focus, and city assignment across the nation.
Community-Focused Intercession
Each 2026 regional rally will focus on the unique needs of its host city and state, including but not limited to:
Praying for unity across churches, cultures, and communities
Interceding for local, state, and national leaders
Addressing community challenges such as homelessness, education reform, and family restoration
Calling for spiritual renewal, repentance, and revival
Just as in Tulsa, worship and prayer will fill the atmosphere as believers gather in agreement — seeking Heaven’s direction for their land.
Not Political — Spiritual
The American Prayer Party emphasizes that America’s greatest need is unity, through intercession, not division. These rallies are intentionally nonpartisan, welcoming believers of all backgrounds (Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, Non-denominational, Presbyterian, etc.) to stand together under God for healing, wisdom, and transformation.
What’s Ahead in 2026
The seven-state regional tour represents the first phase of a broader national expansion. Additional cities and states will be announced as the movement continues to grow, equipping communities to become centers of prayer and spiritual awakening.

Speaking aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump openly admitted, “I’m not sure I’m going to make heaven, but I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people.” He added that despite his accomplishments, he doesn’t believe he’s “heaven-bound.”

Trump also claimed that the war between Russia and Ukraine could have been avoided if the 2020 U.S. election had not been, in his words, “rigged.” He blamed what he called a “crooked election” for the global instability that followed, accusing the current administration of incompetence.
According to Trump, the ongoing tensions in the Israel-Gaza region have also been made worse under Democratic leadership. He lamented that the situation “was much harder to get settled” because of what he described as weak governance.
In an earlier interview, Trump had said one of his goals for a second term was to broker peace across the world, believing such efforts might earn him a place in heaven. Reflecting on the deaths caused by international conflicts, he said, “I want to try to get to heaven if possible… I’m hearing that I’m not doing well.”

]]>Joanna explained that she values her friendship with Faith and admires his intellect, enjoying the diverse conversations they shared. However, she doesn’t envision a romantic relationship with him due to their differing views on relationships, particularly given Faith’s polyamorous nature. “I like that we are both free-spirited,” she said, “It’s not like I don’t like Faith, I just don’t see us going to that angle because I understand the kind of relationships he likes.”
Joanna acknowledged that Faith had shown interest in her, but he never explicitly asked her to be his girlfriend. “I knew he liked me but he never mentioned it,” she noted, adding that Faith’s charming words are just part of his personality.
Despite ruling out romance, Joanna expressed her desire to maintain a friendship with Faith after the show. “If there’s any male housemate I’d like to be friends with after the show, it’s Faith,” she said, appreciating their platonic connection
