]]> Authorities are investigating a horrific road accident that left six people dead on the R540 near Dullstroom, Mpumalanga.

The collision, which happened on Sunday night, involved a minibus taxi and an SUV. All six people who lost their lives were passengers in the taxi. Emergency teams confirmed that they died at the scene.

 

Eight others sustained serious injuries and were rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.

 

Officials say a full investigation is underway to determine what caused the crash. Traffic on the R540 was disrupted for several hours as rescue teams and police worked to clear the wreckage.

 

The community has been left in shock as families mourn the sudden loss of their loved ones.
