The Free State Department of Economic Development and Tourism confirms the appointment of six members of the Free State Consumer Affairs Court.

 

The said court officials were sworn in today by Chief Magistrate, Mr Cornelius Mokgobo at DESTEA Head office.

 

The department has taken a significant step forward to ensure consumer rights are upheld, grievances are redressed, and justice prevails.

 

The Free State Consumer Court is a cornerstone of justice for consumers in the province. It reinforces the dedication to adjudicate unfair business practices and disputes that may arise in the marketplace between consumers and suppliers.

 

With its primary mission being to safeguard the interests of consumers, the court plays a pivotal role in maintaining a justice and equitable economic landscape.

 

The new members of the Free State Consumer Affairs Court are:

* Mr Khomotsana “Papi” Nyapotse ( Chairperson)

* Ms Dikeledi Machogo Sinakgomo

* Ms Hilda Odora
