In response, Parliament has directed three oversight committees to urgently investigate the matter. A report is expected by July 23. The chairperson of the Justice and Constitutional Development committee emphasized that Parliament is committed to ensuring appropriate consequences once the facts are established. He warned that mishandling the issue could have serious implications.
