Kaizer Chiefs have marked a major milestone after three of their coaches secured top continental qualifications.

Rory Minnaar, Jimmy Jambo and Unathi Mabena have all obtained their CAF A Diplomas.

And these qualifications allow them to coach at the highest level in African and international football.

Sporting Director Kaizer Motaung Jr. praised the achievement, stressing its importance for the club’s future.

“We are extremely proud of them. This is a remarkable accomplishment for the club and our players,” said Motaung Jr.

Minnaar, who works as a goalkeeper coach in the club’s academy, is now among a select group of highly qualified specialists in South Africa.

Jambo is a former Chiefs player and has been working in the club’s structures for a while where he leads the Under 15 side.

Unathi Mabena (pictured with Jessica Motaung) is in charge of the recently launched Kaizer Chiefs Ladies team.

Motaung Jr. emphasised the need for continuous learning in modern football.

“Modern football requires coaches to continuously stay up to date with the latest developments.

“And we want to ensure that high-level coaching is available not only for the senior team…

“But across all seven teams representing Kaizer Chiefs,” he added.

The trio now join other CAF A licence holders within the Amakhosi setup, strengthening both the academy and women’s programme.

The Glamour Boys believe this investment in coaching will play a crucial role in developing the next generation of stars.
