TULSA, OK — Building on the powerful momentum of its 2025 launch, The American Prayer Party (TAPP) is announcing its 2026 Regional Unification Prayer Rallies, marking the official kickoff of a multi-state mission to unite believers in prayer across America.

In 2026, The American Prayer Party will host regional prayer rallies in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arkansas, calling individuals, families, churches, and community leaders to gather—not for political alignment—but for Kingdom alignment.

A Movement Born Out of Prayer And Purpose

The American Prayer Party was birthed through the vision and spiritual leadership of Tommy and Brenda Todd, founders of Gapstanders International Ministries. First launched on May 3, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the movement brought together believers from across the region with one unified purpose: to stand in the gap for America through humble, united intercession.

From its inception, TAPP has been clear in its mission—this is not a campaign, rally, or political initiative. It is a sacred call of prayer, repentance, humility, unity and obedience to God’s Word.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

This scripture will continue to guide every gathering, prayer focus, and city assignment across the nation.

Community-Focused Intercession

Each 2026 regional rally will focus on the unique needs of its host city and state, including but not limited to:

Praying for unity across churches, cultures, and communities

Interceding for local, state, and national leaders

Addressing community challenges such as homelessness, education reform, and family restoration

Calling for spiritual renewal, repentance, and revival

Just as in Tulsa, worship and prayer will fill the atmosphere as believers gather in agreement — seeking Heaven’s direction for their land.

Not Political — Spiritual

The American Prayer Party emphasizes that America’s greatest need is unity, through intercession, not division. These rallies are intentionally nonpartisan, welcoming believers of all backgrounds (Baptist, Methodist, Episcopal, Non-denominational, Presbyterian, etc.) to stand together under God for healing, wisdom, and transformation.

What’s Ahead in 2026

The seven-state regional tour represents the first phase of a broader national expansion. Additional cities and states will be announced as the movement continues to grow, equipping communities to become centers of prayer and spiritual awakening.

Pretoria will become the gathering point for thousands of believers this October as the South African Church Defenders (SACD) lead a National Christian March at the Union Buildings. The peaceful demonstration, set for Wednesday, 8 October 2025 at 12h30, calls on Christians and people of faith across the country to stand together for religious liberty.

Organisers say the march is a response to growing concerns about government proposals they believe could open the door to state control of the Church. “Our Constitution protects freedom of religion and the right of faith communities to govern themselves,” SACD spokespersons have stated. “We cannot allow that freedom to be eroded.”

Participants in the march will voice clear opposition to:

  • State regulation of churches and ministries

  • Licensing of pastors and spiritual leaders

  • Government interference in pastoral callings

  • Monitoring of faith practices

According to SACD, these measures would undermine the independence of churches and contradict the fundamental rights guaranteed in South Africa’s Constitution.

The theme of the day—For Christ. For Freedom. For the Church.—highlights the organisers’ conviction that religious communities must remain free to practice and govern their faith without undue state oversight.

“All pastors, church leaders, congregations, and believers are invited to join us,” SACD announced. “This is a historic moment to stand shoulder to shoulder, united in prayer and purpose, affirming that the Church of Jesus Christ will not be silenced or controlled.”

The march will start at 12h30 at the Union Buildings, a symbolic location chosen for its role as the seat of national government.
