ANC NEC BRIEFS MEDIA AFTER RAMAPHOSA PHALA PHALA CRISIS MEETING

]]>The post ANC SG Fikile Mbalula Reprimands Deputy Minister Bernice Swart On One Loaf, One Family Campaign appeared first on MDNtv.
]]>
The Secretary General (SG) of the African National Congress (ANC) Fikile “Razzmatazz” Mbalula has reprimanded Member of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and Environmental Affairs Bernice Swart.
Swart is being reprimanded for trying to aid the ANC from losing more voters in the upcoming elections by launching her own campaign strategy called “One Loaf, One Family” which sent social media abuzz since Monday.
MDNtv News is in possession of the leaked letter that was sent to Swart.
“As per our telephonic conversation, the social media space is abuzz with the utterances you made on a campaign supposedly distributing one loaf of bread per family in the name of the African National Congress. As you would know, this campaign on distributing one loaf of bread per family was not sanctioned by the ANC and furthermore brought the organisation into disrepute.

“This therefore serves not only to reprimand you against what you have been engaged with in this regard, but also to direct you to stop this campaign as it is not only detrimental to the organisation but also an insult to the indigent in our communities,” he said.
The letter further reads: “You are therefore directed to desist from initiating any other similar campaign that may bring the ANC into disrepute. Since 1994, the ANC led government has been in the forefront of a number of social transformation programmes with specific measures undertaken towards elimination of poverty amongst our people such as social grants for the elderly, children grants, grants for those with disabilities, feeding scheme at selected school, support for scholar transport, access to health for all, NSFAS for students in higher education, housing for those who cannot afford own shelter and a lot more.
“Therefore, any campaign must be premised on what government and the private sector must do to eliminate poverty and inequality and not piecemeal efforts that insult the dignity of our people. Where individual initiatives are undertaken, inclusive of those by the structures of the organisation, they must not undermine the dignity of our people, irrespective of their socio-economic status,” the letter reads.
Earlier, the ANC distanced itself from the One Loaf On Family campaign.

]]>
Masina who is a former Mayor of the embattled City of Ekurhuleni from 2016 until 2021 denied that he has now divorced the ANC and joined the MK Party.
On Wednesday, reports circulated in mostly on social media that Masina dumped the ANC for the MK Party.
It has come to my attention that there is false information circulating on social media, stating that I, Mzwandile Masina have joined ‘MKP’. I wish to categorically state that this is blatant fabrication, a lie and absolute gossip spread by faceless accounts on social media.
“This is a deliberate attempt to undermine my credentials and use the fabrication to cast doubt, whilst sowing division within the ANC. I have grown through the ranks of the organisation and wish to categorically state that I remain a loyal member of the ANC, my commitment to the ANC can never be put to question by faceless gossipers on social media,” he said.
Masina said that he strongly believe that the ANC remains the only viable instrument to liberate the people of South Africa from all forms of oppression.
“As a member of the ANC NEC, my efforts are centred on regaining the lost ground and instilling confidence in the ANC.
I urge the members of the ANC and the society at large, to not succumb to the sensationalism being stirred by these faceless gossipers and the delusional statements circulating on social media.
My final analysis is that the faceless gossipers are worried about my stability and growth in the ANC, my revolutionary commitment to the ANC is unquestionable and lifelong. I shall never betray the forebears who selflessly fought for the freedom we enjoy today,” he said.

]]>
Ntuli called the latest criticism labeling it as unfair attacks and unjustified and misdirected.
In a virtual interview on SABC News, ANC Chief Whip Mdumiseni Ntuli defended National Assembly Speaker Thoko Didiza against criticism for declining to issue subpoenas for forensic investigator Paul O’Sullivan and businessman Brown Mogotsi to appear before Parliament’s Ad Hoc Committee.
Ntuli described the attacks on Didiza as unjustified and misdirected, insisting she is ensuring proper procedure is followed.
Ntuli, a member of the committee probing misconduct and infiltration in the criminal justice system, said Didiza wants decisions safeguarded from court challenges.
He explained that the committee must address security concerns raised by O’Sullivan (currently in the UK with death threats) and Mogotsi (demanding funded protection) before forcing in-person appearances.
O’Sullivan left the country with his seven kids.
He rejected claims of undue delay, noting correspondence with the Speaker began late last year, with responses from O’Sullivan in December and January.
Ntuli stressed unanimity on holding O’Sullivan accountable for alleged contempt toward Parliament, while warning that bypassing process could embarrass the committee legally.
The ANC maintains Didiza’s guidance protects the inquiry’s integrity.
The committee continues its work toward the mid-February deadline, with Ntuli calling for responsibility rather than shifting blame to the Speaker.

]]>The post Eyes on ANC Provincial Secretary Lulama Ngcukayitobi As Future Leader appeared first on MDNtv.
]]>An insider has revealed that Ngcukayitobi is regarded as a “disciplined organiser with more than three decades of experience in the movement, having served across branch, regional, and provincial structures.”
Known for his calm demeanour and consultative approach, he is seen by some within the ANC as a figure whose leadership style contrasts with the heightened factionalism that has characterised recent years.
“His political work is underpinned by a solid background in public service,” the source revealed.
A former educator in the Department of Basic Education, Ngcukayitobi gained firsthand exposure to the structural challenges facing public schooling, particularly in under-resourced communities. He later served as a director in local government, where he developed practical experience in governance, service delivery, and local economic development.
Within ANC circles, Ngcukayitobi has long been associated with calls for organisational renewal and ethical leadership.
“He is linked to views that the movement must return to its foundational role as a servant of the people, decisively confronting corruption, patronage, and the misuse of organisational power,” another source stated.
“He has also been supportive of policy debates aimed at social protection for the unemployed, including discussions around a Basic Income Grant.”
The emerging leadership debate in the province is increasingly being framed as “new leadership versus continuity”, with the current ANC Eastern Cape Chairperson, Oscar Mabuyane, widely expected to seek a third term. Observers suggest that Ngcukayitobi’s profile represents a fresh option, introducing new perspectives into discussions about leadership culture, accountability, and the future direction of the organisation.
Having previously been active in youth and student formations, he is viewed as someone attuned to the challenges facing young people, particularly unemployment, access to education, and economic inclusion.
For now, these discussions remain informal and unconfirmed, with any clarity likely to emerge through direct engagement with the individuals concerned as the ANC’s internal processes unfold.

Amongst the attendees were the Peter Mokaba Regional leadership, some PEC members, ANC Women’s League, ANCYL, COSAS, and various stakeholders.

The commemorative visits and paid to the families of the fallen:

It won’t be an ANC gathering without campaigns. Before, the key note address ascended to the pondium. A message of support by the ANCYL NEC member Douglas Ngobeni came with an endorsement and influence to the branches of the ANC

“We are going to be an ANCYL, which rises to the occasion when unemployment rises and which does not go around begging. We are to be an ANCYL that says young people want this, and young people get this. We want to lobby branches to go and convince members that John Mpe must become the ANC provincial Chairperson next year,” said Ngobeni

The crowd seemed to agree with the endorsement by a show of hands and laughter, while the key speaker prepared his speech.
Mathale led the recognition ceremony and, by declaring that they are officially regarded as ” fallen cadres,” who died in the line of duty while serving the movement.
“The ANC bond with the families of the fallen 5 is permanent,” said Cassel Mathale
He stated that the movement will continue to reconnect with and support them.
“Their undying spirits will continue to guide the ANC,” said Mathale
Mathale emphasized that the ceremony served a dual purpose marking the 70th Anniversary of the Freedom Charter ( 1955_2025).
He linked the sacrifice of Molemole 5 to the struggle for the Charter’s ideals, specifically celebrating its key clauses.
Since the incident, the Peter Mokaba region has maintained a permanent relationship with grieving families by providing food vouchers and gifts to ensure dignified holiday periods for the survivors.

Unopposed President Collen Malatji addressed all nine provincial members by highlighting the 1944 speech of the former league President Anton Lembede.
Lembede was the foundational president of the ANCYL and a brilliant intellectual and attorney.
He championed African nationalism, driving the ANCYL to adopt a more militant, self-reliant ideology that influenced future leaders like former President Nelson Mandela.
He reminded delegates that every generation is tasked with discovering and fulfilling its revolutionary mission or betraying it.
Amongst the elected National Executive Committee (NEC) members are Ashley Malatji, a Tzaneen businessman, and Emmanuel Mongwe, who is the current Communication Officer for the Limpopo Department of Public Works , Roads and Infrastructure.
