]]> Every morning, a teenage girl in Durban gathers the strength to go to school — a place that once symbolized safety and learning. But now, it’s a place filled with dread. The man she says hurt her, a teacher she once trusted, is still there. Still teaching. Still walking the same hallways.

 

Her family is devastated. “It’s like asking her to relive the worst moment of her life over and over again,” her aunt says softly. “How do you heal when your abuser is a few feet away?”

 

The girl was only 13 when the teacher allegedly started grooming her. Earlier this year, after years of silence and fear, she finally told someone. Her voice trembled, but it was clear: he had taken advantage of her innocence.

 

When confronted, the teacher allegedly admitted to what he had done — and even put it in writing. A medical report later confirmed her story. A criminal case
