BULTFONTEIN – Welkom Anti-Gang Unit members continued their relentless fight against drugs, by clamping down on suspects found to be in possession of drugs yesterday, 1 October 2024, in Bultfontein. Members received information from concerned community members about drugs being sold around Phahameng, Bultfontein area. Information was operationalised and led them to several houses where searches were conducted in Kgotha Section, Mzimhlope Section, Lebeko Street and Maoba Park. The following items were found and seized by the police, 393 full mandrax tablets, 1 half mandrax tablet, 44 crystal meth sachets and cash. Five suspects aged between 29 and 42 years were subsequently arrested for possession of drugs. They will appear tomorrow, 3 October 2024 in the Bultfontein Magistrates Court. Ends
