Media Statement DIMBAZA – In a decisive intelligence-driven operation, the East London Public Order Police successfully arrested two armed suspects in Polar Park, Dimbaza. It is alleged that at about 22:00, police executed a search warrant at a targeted address. Upon arrival, they were met by a male suspect with his male friend. A thorough search of the premises led to the recovery of two 9mm pistols with filed-off serial numbers, an empty magazine, and a grey Chevrolet Spark suspected to be a stolen vehicle. The suspects, aged 33 and 34 were arrested and are set to appear before the Dimbaza Magistrate’s Court on 31 January 2025. They face charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and possession of a hijacked vehicle, linked to a case in Vulindlela. Ends
