OR TAMBO DISTRICT – Tactical teams deployed in Majola – Port St Johns with Port St Johns Detectives arrested a 31-year-old male suspect on Thursday, 26 December 2024 for attempted murder after shooting his wife on Saturday, 21 December 2024. The 31-year-old suspect led the police to two male suspects aged 39 and 41 whom he alleged to have sold firearms to, and two unlicensed 9 mm pistols with ammunition were recovered. The suspects were immediately arrested. In a separate incident in Tsolo, the Tactical Response Team with Tsolo Detectives arrested a 27-year-old murder suspect at Lucingweni locality on Saturday, 28 December 2024 at about 19:30 and recovered an unlicensed 9mm pistol with ammunition in his possession. All four suspects will appear in different magistrate courts on Monday, 30 December 2024 facing their respective charges. Ends
