Members of SAPS and Gauteng Traffic Wardens from the Eldorado Park Unit arrested multiple suspects for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle during crime prevention operations in Eldorado 🏞️ Extension 3.
Officers were responding to a complaint of a shooting in the area when, while patrolling, they received information regarding a hijacked motor vehicle. The vehicle was later spotted being towed by a black VW Polo with its number plates removed.
Officers intercepted both vehicles and found suspects inside the hijacked vehicle as well as in the VW Polo. All suspects were placed under arrest for possession of a hijacked motor vehicle and related offences.
In a separate operation conducted in Freedom Park, officers arrested a suspect for possession of drugs and live ammunition during stop-and-search operations.
The suspect was stopped and searched after permission was granted. During the search, officers discovered two live rifle rounds, mandrax pills, and an undisclosed amount of cash in the suspect’s possession.
