NGCOBO – Operation conducted by Crime Prevention Members resulted in the arrest of a suspect for possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition. On Saturday 01 February 2025 at about 18:00 members were on their daily duties patrolling the area. During their tour, they received information of a suspect being in possession of an unlicensed firearm at Qebe Administrative Area . Information was followed, and upon arrival, they found the suspect in his homestead. A search was conducted, and a firearm and live ammunition were recovered. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested and charged for possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. He is due to appear at Ngcobo Magistrate Court on Monday, 03 February 2025. The Chris Hani District Commissioner Major General Rudolph Adolph applauded the members for their dedication and quick response in ensuring that the unlicensed firearm is confiscated. Ends
